One of our newest outreach opportunities is the local coffee shop which was given to the cause of "Christian Outreach" in January 2009. The goal is to set up a not-for-profit ecumenical organization to run the coffee shop with all proceeds to be used for local Christian outreach. A non-profit ecumenical organization called "Loaves and Fishes" now owns Brewed Awakening. Loaves and Fishes seeks to partner with existing ministries within the area to help fund and promote their work. Through the coffee shop, Loaves and Fishes is becoming a conduit for ministries like Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center, Towanda Area Christian Outreach, Hezekiah's Hands, and others to reach those in need in the county. Brewed Awakening is a long-established safe and comfortable place for people of all ages to meet. The morning menu includes assorted baked goods-many made from scratch-as well as egg sandwiches and burritos. Lunch includes sandwiches, wraps, salads and in the fall and winter, wonderful home-made soups. Drop in Monday - Friday, 7:30am-3pm. Phone-in and takeout orders are welcome!
