1 Corinthians The Apostle Paul addresses many 'hot topics' for the new church at Corinth which are just as pertinent in our 21st century day-to-day living. 1 Corithians is an excellent quide on living for Jesus in the midst of our secular society. "Kona with Jonah" Not just a great fish story, Jonah is about a reluctant prophet and about God's redemption for those we might consider beyond help. "Cappaccino with Colossians" In Colosse the new church was bombarded by the existing 'spirits' of pagan worship. The practice of giving credit to these spirits of controlling and harassing humans in everyday life was mixing with their worship of Jesus. Paul's letterr is the epitome of patience as he reminds them of the life and love of their Savior. Colossians is about the joy of knowing and honoring Jesus in our everyday living. FRIDAY'S, 10:30AM Presbyterian Women - HORIZON BIBLE STUDY Meeting the 3rd Friday of every month at 10:30am in the choir room of the church. Beginning on Friday, September 18th this study entitled "Joshua: A Journey of Faith" will delve into Biblical concepts, key people and places, language and ritual, archeology and the broader historical context in which Joshua was writen.
